Elections
The Town Secretary serves as the Chief Election Official for the Town of Lakewood Village and conducted in accordance with the Texas Election Code. The Lakewood Village Town Hall shall serve as the polling place for all municipal elections.
The mayor and five council members are elected at-large. Place 1, Place 3 and Place 5 are elected in odd numbered years. Place 2, Place 4 and Place 6 are elected in even numbered years.
Candidates
A Candidate for Town Council:
- Shall be 21 years of age
- Shall be a Qualified Voter
- Shall reside within the corporate limits of the town for at least six months prior to filing date
- Shall reside in the State of Texas for at least twelve months prior to filing date
- Shall comply with all other town ordinances or resolutions that may be applicable
