The First Full Moon of Spring - The Pink Moon / Paschal Full Moon  

This moon is not really pink. The name comes from a moss phlox wildflower which blooms in North America in April.

Another name for this moon is the Paschal Full Moon. Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon.

Visible after sunset. Will rise in the East during the daylight hours (4:56 P.M.) and will already be in the Eastern sky when sunset occurs (7:58 P.M.).
